But both systems ultimately bind the practitioner or seeker to external intermediaries, taking away personal power and energy.<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s why I believe these paths are not what they claim to be.<\/p>\n
1. Connection to Life Force Energy and Wisdom<\/p>\n
Reiki initiations are marketed as a way to \u201cconnect\u201d to the universal life force energy. Similarly, Tarot is presented as a tool to gain access to hidden knowledge and insights. But the truth is that we are already connected to both\u2014life force energy flows through us naturally from the moment of our conception, and our intuition holds all the wisdom we need to navigate life\u2019s challenges.<\/p>\n
Both of these systems suggest we lack something vital and must seek it externally, creating a cycle of dependence on practitioners, cards, or rituals. This undermines our innate power to heal and make decisions for ourselves.<\/p>\n
2. The Hidden Dependence Created by Reiki Initiations and Tarot<\/p>\n
One of the most disturbing aspects of both Reiki and Tarot is the dependence they create. In Reiki, the attunement process involves placing symbols on a person\u2019s chakras, binding them energetically to the Reiki system and its lineage of practitioners. This connection doesn\u2019t empower the individual\u2014it siphons their energy into the system, creating a loop of reliance.<\/p>\n

Practitioners claim that things may get worse before they get better, attributing any discomfort or struggle to a necessary stage of healing. But this concept of a \u201chealing crisis\u201d is a dangerous myth.<\/p>\n
True healing does not involve crises, it\u2019s a follow up to a crisis. First comes crisis, then the healing takes place. Body seeks balance. Always. Discomfort or upheaval is a signal that something harmful has been introduced, not a sign of progress. Tarot can perpetuate similar false narratives, as seekers may cling to unclear or negative readings, believing they must endure certain hardships to reach a better outcome.<\/p>\n
4. Reiki Masters and Tarot Readers as Unnecessary Intermediaries<\/p>\n
Both Reiki masters and Tarot readers position themselves as intermediaries to universal energy or knowledge. Reiki masters claim to \u201copen\u201d chakras or cleanse energy centers, while Tarot readers provide guidance and answers based on card spreads. In both cases, the individual is made to feel incapable of accessing these resources on their own.<\/p>\n
The truth is, we don\u2019t need intermediaries to connect to life force energy or find clarity in our lives. Each of us is inherently connected to the source of energy and wisdom. By relying on external systems, we lose trust in our own inner power.<\/p>\n

Reiki and Tarot both promote the idea that healing and guidance come from external sources. But true healing happens within\u2014it cannot be imposed from the outside. Similarly, only we can decide what\u2019s right for our lives. No cards or practitioners can provide definitive answers, and trusting them with such power robs us of our own agency.<\/p>\n

Stepping away from Reiki and Tarot was one of the most liberating decisions I\u2019ve made. These systems, though marketed as tools for healing and empowerment, ultimately create dependence and take more than they give.<\/p>\n
We are already connected to the universal life force energy and the wisdom we need to navigate life. By reconnecting with nature, trusting our intuition, and taking responsibility for our own journeys, we can find authentic healing and empowerment without the illusions of the importance of the external systems.<\/p>\n\n \n
